Overview

World Health Organization has recognized cardiovascular disease (CVD) as the top killer across the globe. Coronary artery disease (CAD), or coronary heart disease (CHD), is the most common type of heart disease and a major contributor to the CVD-associated mortality. Significantly high morbidity, mortality and healthcare burden of CAD necessitate early measures to ensure cost-effective management. Early recognition of signs and symptoms, early diagnosis and an early management are crucial to lower health burden and improve overall treatment outcomes.

This comprehensive course will ensure a thorough understanding of the basics of CAD as well as its risk factors and manifestations. Practical aspects of treating CAD, including medical management and identification of candidates for percutaneous interventions or surgical treatment will also be discussed. This online course includes didactic pre-recorded lectures by the course faculty. Also, the course offers faculty interaction via comments, where your queries or doubts will be addressed.

Program will have an online summative assessment with 30 MCQ’s at the end of completion of all online modules.

A 'Certificate of Achievement' will be issued after a successful score of more than 60% in the summative assessment.
